Community guidelines

The Towards Zero Collaboration Hub (Hub) is monitored by Transport for NSW. We encourage you to participate in the interactive functionalities and discussion forums. Some of these functionalities are moderated to ensure discussions are relevant and the Hub remains professional, provides value and is meaningful for our users.

Users can include representatives from local councils, government agencies, organisations, associations and businesses who are focused on road safety. Hub registrants are approved for an account using the registration criteria as a guideline.

  • The Hub aims to help users initiate and participate in road safety related discussions by sharing or seeking ideas, knowledge and learnings, or identifying collaboration opportunities within NSW.
  • The logged-in section of the Hub includes various professional representatives across Australia. It's important to remain professional when contributing to discussions within the Hub.
  • There is no direct messaging functionality within the Hub. We encourage you to take conversations outside of the Hub once a collaboration opportunity is identified with other interested users. The Hub intends to be a place where you can connect and identify these opportunities, not an ongoing communication platform.
  • Most Hub interactions such comments, replies and submissions will be vetted by Hub moderators prior to publish to review it meets the community guidelines and Terms of Use.
  • Providing personal or privacy information or personal or privacy information of another person that may be reasonably identifiable and has not authorised is not condoned when interacting in the Hub.
  • Any news, content, comments or submissions that are only accessible by logging into the Hub is prohibited from being shared outside of the Hub by any member for any reason unless authorised by Transport for NSW due to the sensitive nature of the content. If there's a colleague who may be interested in accessing the information, ask them to register for a Hub account.
  • We are all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
  • Hate speech, bullying, and degrading comments regarding topics such as race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
  • Interactions or agendas that take away from the key focus of the Hub will not be approved.
  • Sharing is caring. Contribute and interact with other users so together we can build a positive and engaging community of practice. We encourage you to avoid being a silent follower.
  • Consider if your post is reaching the right audience and if the Hub is an appropriate place for your submission to encourage effective discussions and keep content valuable.
  • Keep an open mind. You may have an intended user in mind for your initiative, but ideas can be elevated when you consider various perspectives.
