Welcome to the National Road Safety Week (NRSW) communication toolkit.
This toolkit includes engagement content to support your local community education activities in support of the annual initiative.
NRSW is an initiative of Safer Australian Roads and Highways (SARAH) Group. This week-long activation is supported by Transport for NSW (Transport) to raise awareness of road safety nationally.
The campaign will run from Sunday 11 May to Sunday 18 May 2025. NSW is proud to be the national host state for 2025.
The week highlights several road safety issues, using daily themes and a call to action each day.
This toolkit can help support your online and in-person communications and engagement. Some assets require sign up to certain accounts to download. Learn how to register for a Creative Assets Library (CAL) account at the end of this page.
You can view toolkits covering other road safety topics on the communications toolkits page. If you're a registered Hub member log in to see the full list of toolkits available.

Coinciding with National Road Safety Week is Walk Safely to School Day (WSTSD) on Friday 16 May. An initiative of Pedestrian Council of Australia, WSTSD is an annual event encouraging all primary school aged children and their families to walk safely to school. For more information about WSTSD, visit the Pedestrian Council of Australia website.
We have a number of helpful resources for schools and families to support safer walking. The Safety Town website offers a variety of interactive learning activities for students from Kindergarten to Year 6, teaching notes to support road safety education in the classroom and safety information for families. A series of road safety factsheets for families are also available on the Centre for Road Safety website or by ordering from our online catalogue.
