2026 Road Safety Action Plan
Sets our targets and actions to halve deaths and reduce serious injuries by 30% on NSW roads by 2030. Places a strong focus on local government action to improve road safety in local communities and sets out the importance of an evidence based and Safe System approach to inform your work. The Towards Zero Collaboration Hub is a key action identified in this plan.

Some local councils have also already implemented or are in the process of implementing council Road Safety Strategic Plans that align with state and national priorities.
These plans work because they are embedded in larger community planning initiatives and strategies and are related to delivery and operational plans for these strategies.
They are also specific, maintaining a focus on issues relevant to each LGA and its community.
