The summer 2024 communications toolkit is here with 5 new videos coming on 25 November. Join us in reminding your communities to prepare and take extra care on the roads these holidays because #SafetyNeverTakesAHoliday.


Statistics

  • With NSW roads busier in the holiday season, they are key periods where there are spikes in fatalities on the road.
  • Between December 2023 to January 2024p., 63 people were killed and 817 were seriously injured on NSW roads. Deaths rose by 14 from 29 and serious injuries rose by 127 from 690 in the same period in the year prior.

[Sell] With the summer holiday countdown on and more people expected to be travelling on NSW roads, check out our top tips to keep safe.

[Body] In the lead up to these holidays, encourage your colleagues, communities and loved ones to take extra care on the roads. 

[Sub-heading] Stay safe this summer

  • Slow down to make sure you arrive safely at your destination
  • Make sure everyone's buckled up properly
  • Take a break or swap drivers if you’re driving tired
  • Prepare for the unexpected - keep a safe distance of at least three seconds between you and the vehicle in front
  • If you plan on drinking, have a Plan B
  • Switch off for summer and put your mobile phone in the glovebox
  • Check your lights, tyres and oil to make sure your car or motorcycle is road trip ready.

How to use the Creative Assets Library (CAL)


If you already have an account, log in at creativeassets.transport.nsw.gov.au and search for the relevant CAL reference.

To create an account:

  1. Visit creativeassets.transport.nsw.gov.au

  2. Click ‘Register’ on the top right-hand side of the page

  3. Complete the form

  4. Click the box to confirm if you agree with the Terms and conditions

  5. Submit your registration request to administrator for approval

  6. You will then receive email confirmation when your account is ready to access (generally within 24-48 hours).

If you have any issues with the CAL, please email creativeassets@transport.nsw.gov.au and provide any screenshots of the issue.

Please note that CAL contact may not be available during the closedown period 23 December 2024 to 3 January 2025.
