We headed out to the Sydney Royal Easter Show to interview people about the dangers of speeding and drink driving to raise awareness of the issue and provide authenticity to the story.
Tips on developing vox pop content:
- Don’t ask questions that can be answered with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’
- Make sure questions are clear, easy to answer and understand.
- Ask each respondent to try to begin their answer with the question asked.
- Don’t be offended if someone turns you down. There are plenty of people out there who’d like to give their opinion.
- Ask the respondent to sign a talent release form.
- Choose only the best responses that align with your brand’s road safety messaging for the final video
- Get a subject matter expert to review your final content to ensure responses are appropriate in relation to the topic.
