NSW Movement and Place Framework training course

The NSW Movement and Place Framework training course is a 1-day workshop aimed to support anyone who designs, delivers or manages roads, streets and public spaces in NSW.

In this workshop, you’ll take a real-world example and collaborate with others to explore ways to improve access, connection, amenities, and safety using Built Environment Indicators.

The core indicator of Comfort and Safety is used to evaluate how this built environment indicator is addressing things like road safety, safe speeds, and pedestrian crowding, incorporating the principles of the Safe Systems approach.

This indicator is measured along with the other 36 indicators to ensure urban planning and design considers multiple variables when designing spaces for the community.

This course is designed for State and Local Government staff, practitioners and private consultants, especially those working in areas related to urban design, land use and transport planning, architecture, engineering, transport management/design, community engagement, maintenance and operations, property development and urban economy.

Note: Participants should undertake the free NSW Government eLearning modules for Movement and Place prior to attending the workshop.
