The Be Truck Aware campaign is in market again and the communication toolkit has been updated to support you with promoting truck safety in your community.
The campaign focuses on promoting a heightened sense of safety when sharing the road with trucks and aims to:
- Generate awareness of trucks’ blind spots
- Highlight the unique driving factors affecting heavy trucks to help road users understand
- Encourage safety and shared responsibility of all road users when sharing the road with trucks.
The campaign’s key messages include:
- We all need to look out for each other, so take care and be truck aware.
- Trucks have 4 main blind spots, take care around trucks, they can't always see you. Be Truck Aware.
The campaign commenced on 26 August 2024 and will run through to May 2025 across the following channels: digital video, social media, press, outdoor, radio and digital audio.
The
communication toolkit contains resources to help promote truck safety in your community. It provides information on videos, web and social tiles, approved social media messaging, and more. We encourage you to help promote this important initiative.
